Kendall Cowan joins the Board of Directors of ICO North America

Reston, VA. - April 6, 2006 - ICO North America (ICO) announced today that Kendall Cowan has joined its board of directors, effective April 1, 2006. Cowan will serve as an independent director for ICO, and will become chairman of the board's audit committee.

Cowan was the chief financial officer of Alamosa Holdings, Inc. since December 1999, and has been a director of that company since 2003. Prior to joining Alamosa Holdings, Cowan served in public accounting for twenty five years including serving as a partner with Coopers & Lybrand, now a part of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Cowan is also a director of several private companies.

"As we press forward to the commencement of operations next year, Kendall will not only serve as an extremely helpful resource on the financial side, but on the operating side as well. ICO North America's hybrid satellite/terrestrial MSS system is scheduled to be operational in July of 2007. Its MSS satellite is being built by Space Systems/Loral, Inc. ("Loral"). Loral and ICO North America have completed certification of all applicable FCC milestones, to date.

In August 2005, ICO North America issued $650 million in privately placed debt securities to fund its advanced hybrid 2 GHz MSS system.
